Oxygen

Edition 2/5 This work evokes a dense underwater forest of seaweed its long forms drifting and intertwining like clusters of life-giving threads. Created using the collagraph technique textured elements were glued onto a cardboard matrix to build a richly tactile surface then printed with oil-based inks on a large-format Peter Van Ginkel etching press. Oxygen continues the ocean series’ exploration of marine ecosystems and their delicate balance.
